  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Hung threads or High CPU occurs when creating a large amount of
    Location records via MIF.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    (1) Prepare a flat file with 100,000 Location data.

    (2) Create Object Structure, Enterprise Service and External

    (3) Go to 'External Systems' application and select the
External System created in step (2).

    (4) Click 'Enterprise Services' tab and expand the Enterprise
Service details created in step (2). Then tick 'Use Continuous
    Queue' checkbox.

    (5) Click button 'Data Import' and tick 'Flat File' option.
Then specify the location of the flat file created in step (1)
    and click 'OK'.

    RESULTS:

threads warning WSVR0605W is observed on server side.
Part of Location data failed to be processed to Maximo table.

All the Location data has been imported to Maximo table
    successfully.

    REPORTED IN VERSION:
    Maximo Asset Management 7.6.0.10

Local fix

  • Split the Location data into multiple flat files.
