APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When Calibration is enabled the Master PM gives warning for
    adjusting the extended date when there isn't one entered on the
    Master PM and the option to Update Existing PMs is not selected.
     The Master PM should not even be validating the extended date.
    
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    Create a Master PM: 1003
    In Work Order Information section:
    Check the field: Update Work Order Information on Existing PMs?
    Click on the Frequency tab
    In Work Order Generation Information section:
    Check the box for: Use Last Work Order's Start Information to
    Calculate Next Due Frequency?
    On the Time Based Frequency tab:
    Frequency: 30
    Frequency Units: Days
    Uncheck the field: Update Existing PMs?
    Save
    Go To PM
    Create PM: 1047
    Master PM: 1003
    Details section
    Asset: 13110
    Click the Frequency tab
    Frequency: 30
    Frequency Units: Days
    Enter Estimated Next Due Date: 4/17/2019
    Enter Extended Date: 5/8/19
    Save
    Click on the PM tab
    From the Master PM field > Go To Master PM
    More Actions > Updated Associated PMs
    Select Site: Bedford
    Click OK
    BMXAR0117E - The extended date entered will cause at least one
    cycle to be skipped. This may cause a disruption with job plan
    sequencing. One or more associated PMs have already had their
    work generated date extended. Please review the PM Extend Date
    screen before continuing. More information
    
    Click OK and get dialog box Master PM Extend Date Comment
    Enter a comment for extending the date. Click OK when finished.
    Master PM: 1003
    Comment:
    OK
    
    RESULTS:
    Get system message when you click on Update Associated PMs from
    the Master PM
    BMXAR0117E - The extended date entered will cause at least one
    cycle to be skipped. This may cause a disruption with job plan

    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    Should not get the above system message on the Master PM when it
    does not have an Extended Date entered.
