Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When you expand on a line that contains a value that has a
    different cssclass condition than the line you are currently
    on, the line will not expand and system may become stuck.
    Certain applications show strange UI behaviour such as table
    rows not expanding or dialogues that will not close. You may
    narrow it down to conditions that will render an attribute to a
    different colour depending on the conditional expression.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    Open Maximo as maxadmin

    In Conditional Expression Manager, create two conditions as
    follows:
    Condition: ORDERQTY1
    Description: Order Qty = 1
    Type = Expression
    Expression - :orderqty=1
    Always Evaluate = 1

    Condition: ORDERQTY1
    Description: Order Qty > 1
    Type = Expression
    Expression - :orderqty>1
    Always Evaluate = 1

    In Application Designer, open the PO application. Add a new
    signature option called BPDTEST with a description of BPD Test.
    On the PO Lines tab, right-click the Quantity column on the PO
    Lines table. Apply IBMTEST signature option.
    Click Configure Conditional Properties and setup as follows:
    Security Groups - EVERYONE
    Conditions for Security Group: ORDERQTY1, Sequence 10
    Conditions for Security Group: ORDERQTY2, Sequence 20
    Property Values for Condition ORDERQTY1 - Condition is True:
    Property= cssclass
    Value = txtgreen
    Property Values for Condition ORDERQTY2 - Condition is True:
    Property= cssclass
    Value = txtred

    In Security Groups, open EVERYONE group
    For Purchase Orders application, click signature option BPD
    Test.
    Login as WILSON, and open PO 1026

    If you try and expand Line 2, it will not open. If you then try
    and expand Line 3, it will not open.
    Look up PO 1026 against, but this timeexpand Line 3 first, Line
    3 will open. But Line 2 will not. Based on our tests, the
    failure appears to start when you expand on a line that
    contains a value that has a different cssclass than the line
    you are currently on. In this scenario, Line 1 contains a
    green quantity, as does Line 3 which is why these lines work.
    Also try deleting Line 3, and press OK on the System Message
    shown below

    Now try deleting Line 2 - pressing OK on the same System
    Message will no longer work. Your session will now be stuck.

    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    Table rows are not expanding and the system gets stuck
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    Table rows are expanding and the system does not get stuck
