Error description

  • PROBLEM:   Intermittent errors regarding date while using the
    "Assign Available Labor" tool in Graphical Assignment
    application
    
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Go to Graphical Assignment (GA) application and go to
    "Assignment View" tab, assign an unassigned work order to a
    labor by drag and drop
    2. Save the record
    3. Right click on same work order and click Unassign
    4. Do not save the record
    5. Highlight the same work order again and right click on a
    labor, click Assign Available Labor
    6. Receive error "BMXAA4589E   The Start Date must be before the
    finish date"
    
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    The work order should be able to be assigned using dialog
    without error

    Maximo Asset Management 7.6.0.9
    IBM Maximo Asset Management Scheduler 7.6.7.0
    

Local fix

  • The workaround would be to save at step 4
