APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The following error is displayed when trying to issue an item
    when the balance will become 0:
    Error BMXAA1891E - The available balance will become negative
    as a result of this transaction.
    This shouldn't happen as 0 is not a negative balance.
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Go to Administration --> Organizations
    2. Select Action inventory options -> Inventory defaults.
    - Set  Automatically create usage documents for new
    reservations? True
    - Set Negative current balance -> disallow negative balance
    - Set Negative Available Balance -> disallow negative available
    balance
    3. Go to Inventory --> Item Master
    4. Create a new item TEST.
    5. Change the status of the item to ACTIVE in all organisations
    6. More Actions-Add the item to CENTRAL storeroom
    7. Add Balance of 6
    8. Set Issue cost type: FIFO
    9. Go to Work Orders --> Work Order Tracking.
    10. Move to Plans Tab
    11. Create two new indentical tasks
    (next steps are identical for both tasks)
    12. Move to Materials sub tab
    13. Add item TEST
    14. Add a quantity of 3
    15. Change the reservation type to HARD
    16. More Actions-Change status to APPR
    17. Go to Inventory --> Inventory Usage
    18. Create new Inventory Usage
    19. Click on Select Reserved Items
    20. Filter for TEST
    (Reservation type should be APHARD)
    21. More Actions-Change status to COMP
    RESULTS:
    Error BMXAA1891E - The available balance will become negative
    as a result of this transaction.
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    Status should change to COMP

    Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.0.9
