Error description

  • In Graphical Scheduling (GS) you can right click on a WO and
choose to do a Discard and Refresh just on the selected
records. This does not work if the Scheduled Dates on the
record are null. If you do Discard Changes and Refresh for
all records from the Common Actions menu it works correctly.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Create a work order with a Target Start Date, Planned Labor,
and a Duration. Do not populate Scheduled Dates.
    2. Create a Graphical Schedule for that work order.
    3. Observe the work order is displayed in the Graphical View of
the Schedule with the Target Start Date as the Start Date and
an End Date corresponding to the duration.
    4. Right click on the WO and click on Go To Work Order Tracking.
5, Change the Duration on the work order in Work Order
    Tracking. Save. Return to GS.
    5. In the Scheduler, select the work order and choose the
"Discard Changes and Refresh Selected Work Records" option from
    the right click menu.

    RESULTS:

An error displays: BMXAT0050E The project data failed to
populate into scheduler tables for project (the name of the
schedule). For more information, check the Maximo log file (in
your application server directory) or contact your system
    administrator.
Start and end times cannot be null.

NOTE: if you choose the Discard Changes and Refresh option
for the entire schedule, no error displays and the duration is
    updated.

    EXPECTED RESULTS:

For the duration to be updated.

    VERSION:

    7.6.0.9 with IFix 014 and on pre-GA 7.6.1.1.
