Error description
This APAR is based on IJ05242 which was fixed for several versions but has reappeared in 7.6.1.0 IFix 003. Graphical Scheduling (GS) shows craft availability displaced by one day for complicated shift patterns when using different Time Zones. Reproduced in 7.6.0.9 The problem was not reproducible using the plain DAY shift. It was reproducible using a shift pattern with: - a rotating 14 day pattern (see below) - 12am start times and 12am end times with zero work hours for the days where no work happens instead of just leaving all of those fields blank as we typically do as in DAY Shift. - Start and End times define an 8.5 or 9.5 hour long day but they put in 8 or 9 as they have 1/2 hour off for lunch. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to Calendars and create a new Calendar for one year, such as 1/1/18 to 12/31/18. 2. Choose Define/Apply Shifts from the Actions menu. 3. In the Shifts section a the top of the dialog click on New Row. Call the Shift Test2Wks. Start Day Sunday, Days in Pattern 14. 4. Make a Shift Pattern like this: Day Start End Work Hours 001 12:00 AM 12:00 AM 0 002 6:00 AM 3:30 PM 9 003 6:00 AM 3:30 PM 9 004 6:00 AM 3:30 PM 9 005 6:00 AM 3:30 PM 9 006 12:00 AM 12:00 AM 0 007 12:00 AM 12:00 AM 0 008 12:00 AM 12:00 AM 0 009 6:00 AM 3:30 PM 9 010 6:00 AM 3:30 PM 9 011 6:00 AM 3:30 PM 9 012 6:00 AM 3:30 PM 9 013 6:00 AM 2:30 PM 8 014 12:00 AM 12:00 AM 0 5. Apply that new Shift to the new Calendar. 6. Go To Labor application and change 2 Labors for the craft you will use for Planned Labor for the new WO you create below to use the new Calendar/Shift. For example, take 2 of the Labor for Electrician Firstclass and put them on the new Calendar/Shift. Do this so there will be some data to appear on the Scheduler when we get there. 7. Create a new WO with a duration of 5 and give it Planned Labor of the Craft chosen above. 8. Go to Graphical Scheduling and create a new Schedule. 9. Give it the new Calendar/Shift. Give it a Start Date of 2 days in the future. 10. Create a Work Query to select the new WO. 11. Save. 12. Click on the Gantt View tab (Graphical View in some versions). 13. Observe how in the Resources section in the bottom half of the screen has the Yellow bars denoting the Availability of the Crafts only in the white working time slots for each day. 14. Go to Profile - Defaults and change to the Africa/Algiers Time Zone. Click OK. 15. Log out and log back in. 16. Go to GS and open the schedule you created. 17. Click on the Gantt/Graphical View tab. ERRONEOUS RESULTS: You will now observe that in the second week the first Yellow Availability bar is on the grey area of Sunday, not in the white area of Monday. This shifting of the Yellow bars should not happen. EXPECTED RESULTS: For the Yellow bars not to shift to Sunday in the second week, or any weeks.
