Error description

  • Problem Description: When using Sliding-Days Average as

    incorrectly.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    1. Go to Assets application.

    2. Create a new Asset record with any valid number, save and
    change its Status to OPERATING.

    3. Go to Meters tab, click on New Row button, enter the
    following and save the record:

    Meter: ODOM-M
    Average Calculation Method: SLIDING-DAYS
    Sliding Window Size: 14
    Reading Type: ACTUAL
    Rollover: 999,999.00
    Last Reading: 100
    Last Reading Date: 11/1/18 ***

    *** Note:
In this example, as the system date is 11/15/18 and the Sliding
Window Size is 14, enter Last Reading Date as 11/1/18, which is
    11/15/18 - 14.

    4. From More Actions menu, select Enter Meter Readings.

    5. Enter the following Meter Readings and save the record:

New Reading ..... New Reading Date
    200 .................... 11/2/18
    300 .................... 11/3/18
    500 .................... 11/5/18

    6. Now Enter the following Meter Reading and save the record:

New Reading ..... New Reading Date
    400 .................... 11/4/18

    RESULTS:
System calculates Average Units/Day as 131.51 incorrectly. This
    is the issue.

    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    Average Units/Day should be 100.

    ****************************************************************
Average Units/Day is recalculated incorrectly. New readings that
aren't most recent readings should not impact the average if
there is an already-existing more recent reading that is an
ACTUAL reading. ACTUAL readings stop the updating of the more
recent readings that results from the entry of a new but older
reading date. As a result of the updates stopping once an ACTUAL
is encountered, the current, most recent reading remains
unchanged. Given that the current reading is unchanged, the
    average should also be unchanged.
