APAR status

Error description

  • Error when duplicating KPI Error states "Person Does Not Exist"
    in Maximo 7.6
    
    PROBLEM :
    You may get an error "The person does not exist or is not
    active" if you go to KPI Manager to duplicate a record logged
    in as an user whose USERID does not match the PERSONID
    associated with it.
    
    STEPS TO REPLICATE :
    1- Open Maximo as maxadmin
    2- Create a new user to test this scenario as below
    USERID should be TEST
    User name can be set to any value / Choose your own password
    PERSONID shoud NOT match the USERID. (When Maximo prompts you
    to create a new person called TEST, click NO, and create your
    own person record, with a different name, such as TESTPERSON)
    
    3- Ensure that user belongs to MAXADMIN group and that there is
    a valid person record associated with this user, but NOT
    matching the userid.
    4- Log out Maximo and log back in with the new user
    5- Go to KPI Manager app
    6- Search for any existing KPI
    7- Click on Select Action > Duplicate KPI. You will get an
    error message like :
    BMXAA3097E - The person does not exist or is not active
    
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    You get an error "The person does not exist or is not active"
    if you go to KPI Manager to duplicate a record
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    You do not get any errors if you go to KPI Manager to duplicate
    a record
