IJ08900: JAPANESE ATTACHMENT FILENAME IS UNREADABLE WITH MICROSOFT EDGE.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• PROBLEM:
  Attachment filename in Japanese is unreadable when using
  Microsoft Edge with mxe.doclink.securedAttachment=true.
  This happens not with IE11 but with Edge.
  STEPS TO RECREATE:
  1) Confirm mxe.doclink.securedAttachment is set to true.
  2) Using Microsoft Edge, create a new SR from Service
  Requests application and click the attachment icon.
  Then select "Add New Attachments"-"Add New File".
  3) On "Create a File Attachment" window, specify a
  text file with Japanese file name. Then click OK.
  4) Click the attachment icon and select "View Attachments".
  5) On "View Attachments" window, click the attachment with
  the Japanese file name.
  6) Check the download file and confirm the file name is
  unreadable like below.
  =_UTF-8_Q_=E3=81=A6=E3=81=99=E3=81=A81535643446188.txt_=
  RESULTS:
  The attachment filename is unreadable
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  The downloaded file name should be something like below.
  <Japanese filename>.txt
  PRODUCT VERSION:
  TPAE: 7.6.0.9-IFIX20180817-1553
  BROWSER: Microsoft Edge
  

Local fix

• Use other browsers like IE11 or set false to
  mxe.doclink.securedAttachment.
