Error description

  • In Graphical Scheduling (GS) if you use Next Schedule or
Previous Schedule while viewing a Schedule on the Graphical
View tab, the start of the date ribbon for the subsequent
Schedules no longer gets used. This probably happens to other
information about the Schedule that is part of the State, too.
It happens for zoom factor, too.

If you view a schedule, go back to the List tab, view the next
Schedule, go back to List and view the next schedule, the date
ribbon start saved for each one is used as it should be used.

But if go the Graphical View tab and view the first Schedule
and then use the Next Schedule arrow on the toolbar to move to
the next Schedule, the date ribbon start of the first Schedule
is used for all subsequently viewed Schedules. They do not
retrieve the State and use that date ribbon start as they
    should.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    1. Go to GS and create 3 schedules for different sets of WO.
They can all have the same Calendar and Shift and Start/End
dates. Set the Start date to be the first of the next month and
set the End to be the last day of the next month. If it is
September, use October 1 and October 30.
    2. Save each one.
    3. View the first one on the Graphical View tab. Adjust the
Date Ribbon so that the first date shown, the rightmost date,
is the first of the month. Save if the Save button un-dims.
    Click on the List tab.
    4. View the second one on the Graphical View tab. Adjust the
Date Ribbon so that the first date shown, the rightmost date,
is the second of the month. Save if the Save button un-dims.
    Click on the List tab.
    5. View the third one on the Graphical View tab. Adjust the
Date Ribbon so that the first date shown, the rightmost date,
is the third of the month. Save if the Save button un-dims.
    Click on the List tab.
    6. On the List tab select the first schedule and view it on the
Graphical View, you will see that the first date shown is the
first of the month. Go back to List tab.
    7. On the List tab select the second schedule and view it on
the Graphical View, you will see that the first date shown is
the second of the month. Go back to List tab.
    8. On the List tab select the third schedule and view it on the
Graphical View, you will see that the first date shown is the
third of the month. Go back to List tab.
    9. That is the way it should work.
    10. Now on the List tab select the first schedule and view it
on the Graphical View, you will see that the first date shown
is the first of the month.
    11. While still on the Graphical View tab, use the Next
Schedule arrow on the toolbar to move to the second schedule.
You will see that the first date on the list tab is not the
second of the month as it should be but instead is the same as
that of the first schedule, the first of the month.
    12. While still on the Graphical View tab, use the Next
Schedule arrow on the toolbar to move to the third schedule.
You will see that the first date on the list tab is not the
third of the month as it should be but instead is the same as
that of the first schedule, the first of the month.
    13. If you had opened the third schedule first and then used
the Previous Schedule toolbar arrow to move back to the second
and then the first schedules, you would see that the third of
the month would be used as the first date on the date ribbon.
The data is used from whichever schedule you open first.

    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:

That for the subsequent schedules it does not look up the saved
state for those schedules but uses what is on the screen left
    over from the first schedule.

    EXPECTED RESULT:

The subsequent schedules should retrieve their own saved states
even when opened by using Next/Previous Schedule.

    ENVIRONMENT (SYSTEM INFO):

7.6.0.9 with IFix 004 or above and 7.6.1.0

Local fix

  • Do not use Next/Previous Schedule.
Or you can collapse the Resource view on the Graphical View tab
    and then Next/Previous Schedule.
