Error description

  • PROBLEM:
    Cursors remain open in database when searching long description
    in any application.
    
    PERFORMANCE ISSUE:
    Yes
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    In application designer, long description to the additional
    search fields screen.
    Open application, navigate to additional searches, and then
    search on long description.
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    Causes a cursor leak which limits database resources.
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    When the search is performed, database resources should be
    freed up allowing reused connections.
