Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    
    When use UpdateRichText.bat utility to convert plain text to
    rich text for long description record, if there are many space
    lines between two lines, the data after the multiple spaces
    will be truncated.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Import an xml file via External System to update long
    description as below for a Purchase Contract record (below is
    sample data):
    
    AAAAAA
    BBBBBB
    CCCCCC
    DDDDDDDDDDD
    
    
    2. After imported, in the database, the long description has
    been updated as below:
    
    AAAAAA
    BBBBBB
    CCCCCC
    DDDDDDDDDDD
    
    
    3. In the Purchase Contract application, this long description
    is being displayed by wrong format as below:
    
    
     AAAAAA BBBBBB CCCCCC DDDDDDDDDDD
    
    
    4. Stopped MXServer, run command
    c:\IBM\SMP\maximo\tools\maximo>updateRichText.bat
    Check database and the long description has been converted
    into:
    
    
    AAAAAA<br /><br /><br /><br /> BBBBBB<br /><br /><br /><br />
    CCCCCC<!-- RICH TEXT -->
    
    RESULT:
    The "DDDDDDDDDDD" has been truncated
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    The long description should be converted into:
    
    AAAAAA<br /><br /><br /><br />BBBBBB<br /><br /><br /><br />
    CCCCCC<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br
    />DDDDDDDDDDD<!-- RICH TEXT -->
    
    PRODUCT VERSION:
    Maximo 7.6.0.8-IFIX20180130-1210
