IJ05665: REORDER - INVENTORY IN STATUS STAGED OR SHIPPED ARE NOT CONSIDERED IN THE CURRENT BALANCE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Reorder - Inventory in status staged or shipped are not
  considered in the current balance
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Go To - > Inventory -> Item Master and create a new item
  2. Select Action -> Change status to ACTIVE
  3. Select Action -> Add Items to Storeroom:
  Site: BEDFORD
  Storeroom: CENTRAL
  Unit Cost: 13
  Default Bin: R2D2
  Current Balance 1
  4. Select Action -> Item/Organization Details:
  Change the status for EAGLENA to ACTIVE
  5. Go To -> Inventory -> Inventory -> filter for the item
  created at
  step 1
  6. Select Action -> Change Status to Active.
  7. Reorder Details tab:
  Check the Reorder? checkbox
  Reorder Point: 3
  Economic Order Quantity: 5
  Vendor: SKF
  8. Select Action -> Reorder -> run reorder -> copy the PR no
  9. Go To -> Purchasing -> Purchase Requisitions -> filter for
  the PR
  created at step 8.
  10. Select Action -> change the status to Approved.
  11. Select Action -> Create PO:
  Autonumber the PO and copy the PO no.
  12. Go To Purchasing -> Purchase Orders -> filter for the PO
  created at
  step 11.
  13. Select Action -> Change the status to Approved.
  14. Go To -> Purchasing -> Receiving -> filter for the PO
  created at
  step 11 -> in the Material Receipts ->New Row and select the PO
  line.
  15. Go To -> Inventory -> Inventory -> filter for the item
  created at
  step 1 and check the current balance = 6.
  16. Go To -> Inventory -> Inventory Usage -> create a new
  record:
  From Storeroom: CENTRAL
  Add a new Usage Line:
  Usage Type: Transfer
  Line Type: Item
  Item: the item created at step 1
  From Bin: R2D2
  Quantity: 4
  Transfer Details:
  To Storeroom: CENTRAL
  To Site: BEDFORD
  To Bin: ABC
  17. Select Action -> change status to Staged (Use the current
  bin)
  18. Go To -> Inventory -> Inventory -> filter for the item
  created at
  step 1 and check the balance 2, quantity staged = 4
  19. Select Action -> Reorder -> run reorder -> copy the new PR
  no
  20. Go To -> Purchasing -> Purchase Requisitions -> filter for
  the PR
  created at step 19 and check the quantity = 5
  -> the quantity is not calculated correctly - the
  staged/shipped quantity is not taken into consideration into
  the current balance - the current balance should have been 6.
