IJ04342: TPAE 75011 - SELECTING CONDITION CODES IN JOBPLAN THAT DOES NOT EXIST ON INVENTORY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When adding a condition enabled inventory item (that exists in
  the site's storeroom) in Job Plans, Maximo allows the planner
  to select a condition code which is not available for that
  inventoried item in it's storeroom, because Maximo is
  referencing the list of available condition codes for that item
  in the Item Master. When planners are adding an inventoried
  condition enabled item in  Job Plans), we would like to have
  Maximo filter the list of available condition codes for the
  inventoried item, based on the current populated storeroom
  value.
  If the planner is adding a non-inventoried condition enabled
  item from the item master, then Maximo should filter based on
  the item master's list of available condition codes for that
  item.(Current functionality )
  PERFORMANCE ISSUE: NO
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1) Create a new item with multiple conditional codes.
  2)  Add item to store room.
  3) Go to Inventory and search for the item created newly.
  4) Add inventory balance for condition code they are only
  adding for condition code NEW.
  5) Go to Jobplan application and create new job plan
  6) When selecting the item by default it is right condition
  code, here it is NEW, however even you can change to other
  condition codes though there are no inventory bins with other
  codes.
  7) Please change the condition code and save the record and
  activate the record, use this JP in PM and generate the work
  order.
  8) Approve work order

  CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT: when they are Approving the work
  order with different condition code it is throwing error. (when
  they are approving the work order with default condition code
  there is no issue.)
  EXPECTED RESULT: They want to do the validation while selecting
  the condition codes in job plan only
