Error description

  • PROBLEM:  Labor Availability is not adjusting as per the
    time zone in Graphical Assignment
    PERFORMANCE ISSUE: N
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    SETUP info:
    Server is in Toronto, Canada
    Scheduler user and
    Work list in same time zone(Aus/Sydney)
    Labors/Crafts assigned same time zone(Aus/Sydney)
    Assigner/Scheduler is also mapped to same time zone(Aus/Sydney).
    STEPS:
    1. Login as a user who belongs too the Australia/Sydney
    timezone (i.e.
    (GMT +10 DST/Y) Eastern Standard Time (New South Wales))  e.g.
    wilson /
    wilson
    2. Bring up an existing Calendar in the Calendar application
    e.g.'DAY'
    calendar
    3. Apply a shift to the calendar e.g. 'DAY' shift that starts
    from 7AM
    and finish by 3PM
    4. Go to the Crafts application
    5. bring up a craft e.g. 'CARP' for Carpenter craft
    6. go to the "Associated Labor" tab
    7.  Hyperlink to the labor application, assign  'DAY' shift,
    'DAY'
    calendar , assign the same time zone(Australia/Sydney)  e.g.
    labor
    FINLEY and GATES
    8. Create  a new work order in Work Order Tracking application
    e.g.
    work order 'MAY5' with a description 'test5'
    9. enter a target start  e.g. tomorrow at 7AM
    10. enter a duration e.g. 5 hours
    11. go to the Plans tab, Labor sub-tab
    12. click "select craft" button
    13. enter 'CARP' in the Craft field
    14. enter 'FIRSTCLASS' as the skill level
    15. regular hours is 5 hours
    16. save the record
    17. Create a new work List in the Graphical Assignment
    application  e.g.
    MAY
    18. enter a start date e.g. 1/19/18 4:00 PM and enter a finish
    date e.g.
    2/2/18 4:00 PM
    19. enter the same calendar and shift e.g. 'DAY' calendar and
    'DAY'
    shift
    20. add a work query e.g. wonum like 'MAY%'
    21. Save
    22. Go to the "Assignment View" tab
    23. Click the "Zoom to work" icon on the toolbar
    24. Work order shows as an Orange time bar
    25. Drag and drop  the time bar down (i.e. assign the task to
    one of the
    labor that works the  DAY' shift)
    26. work order 'MAY5' with description 'TEST5' shows as a
    yellow time
    bar in the Gantt Chart
    NOTE: work order (yellow time bar) shows in the white region
    (not the
    grey region)
    27. Drag the work order bar to a white region (i.e. reschedule
    the task
    to a labor's available section), the task still remain yellow
    in color
    indicating
    the labor is not available
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT: the time bar shows yellow indicating
    that the
    labor is not available for work even though the task has been
    dragged
    to the white section
    EXPECTED RESULT: the time bar should be green for the labor's
    available
    section (white section)
