IJ01302: IN GRAPHICAL ASSIGNMENT RUNNING OPTIMIZATION USING THE AT THIS TIME OPTION DOES NOT WORK, IT NEVER RUNS.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In  Graphical Assignment (GA) when Running Optimization using
  the At This Time option on the Spatial Scheduling Optimization
  dialog box, the optimization never runs.
  
  As Optimization can take some time it is useful to run it at a
  future time instead of immediately, which is why we have to
  option to run it At This Time and you then specify a date/time
  to run the optimization.
  
  In GA running on 7608 with the latest IFix at 2:52pm I asked it
  to run at 3:15pm but it is now almost 4pm and the optimization
  has never run.
  Just before doing this I ran it Immediately and it finished
  successfully and took about 1-2 minutes.
  
  I reproduced this on 7.6.0.8 with the latest IFix.
  I also reproduced it on a 7.6.0.9 environment with Optimization
  set up.
  
  This was in GA, it appears to run ok in GS.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  1. Create a Work List in Graphical Assignment with several WO,
  each with at least one Planned Labor row.
  2. Use a Calendar and Shift, such as Day/Day, that is also
  assigned to some of the Labor assigned to the Crafts used by
  the WO.
  3. Save the Work List.
  4. Confirm that Configure Optimization server has been set up
  and that Workassign has been deployed.
  5. Create a Spatial Scheduling Scenario.
  6. Open the Run Optimization dialog
  7. In the Schedule section select the At This Time option.
  8. Enter a time at least 15 minutes in the future.
  9. Enter an email address for the notification.
  10. Click on Save.
  11. Open the View Scheduled Optimization Processes dialog box
  and you  will see the one you just submitted listed for the
  time you  selected.
  
  And that is the problem, it never leaves that dialog.   It
  should leave the  View Scheduled Optimization Processes dialog
  box and then be viewable on the  View Optimization Processes
  dialog box where you can see it listed as having processed at
  the time you selected.
