Error description
When non-qualified XML is used as input to an XSLT primitive in a Mediation Flow then the resulting transformed XML might not be as expected. This is due to how the non-qualified elements are handled in the code.
Local fix
By using validation to force a parsing of the NDH to SMO they change which of the two code paths the XSLT primitive will use to handle the transformation and thus avoid seeing the issue.

Problem conclusion
