HC82340: CAN NOT MODIFY SHELL SHELL OPERATOR: INTERNAL ERROR

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Scenario
  1) Open "4-51131-372N0-IC-FR.CATPart" (workbench is PDG)
   2) Double click "Shell.1" (in SIDE RAIL_ Partbody)
      on specification tree to modify  (See INDTOY6_1.jpg)
   3) in "Shell definition" panel, key-in 2.6mm -> 2.7mm
      as outside thickness (See INDTOY6_2.jpg) --> click OK
      ---> "Update diagnosis" panel is displayed
      (See INDTOY6_3.jpg)
   4) click "Edit" button to recover modifying value
      (2.7mm to 2.6mm)
      (See INDTOY6_4.jpg)  --> Click OK
  =====> "Update diagnosis" panel is displayed
  It is no more possible to restore previous Shell thickness
  value. (Except UNDO operation)
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Shell.1 update is KO after a modification of its default
  outside thickness : Shell operator: internal error
  

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON
    CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 8 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R7SP03.
  
  Input body of the shell was not valid.
  The Shell can be modified without any error message.
