PH27771: STORED PROCEDURE SYSPROC.ACCEL_ADD_TABLES FAILS WITH ASSERTION: AN ASSERTION '( MCCSID.GETVALUE() > 0 )' FAILED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Tablespaces that were created with an old Db2 version prior to
  Version 5 have a value of 0 (zero) for all SBCS_CCSID,
  DBCS_CCSID and MIXED_CCSID. If SYSPROC.ACCEL_ADD_TABLES
  transfers the value 0 (zero) to the accelerator, the accelerator
  fails with an assertion.

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed. For table spaces encoded with EBCDIC
  where the value of a CCSID is 0 the value will be replaced by
  the value of the DSNHDECP.
