Error description
When the XIV storage role is switched from 'master' to 'slave' or vice-versa, the failover may not work correctly. These entries may be seen in clxd_debug.log: DEBUG |2012-08-17T11:37:41.963221|process_mirror |515 |6 -> Failed to execute XCLI command 'mirror_switch_roles'. rc=1 In hacmp.out you will see the corresponding command execute successfully: +RG1:genxd_predisk_available[202] /usr/es/sbin/cluster/xd_generic/xd_cli/ clxd_failover_mg -n CG1 -s STR -d STR -o /var/hacmp/xd/log/failovermg.9044154.CG1 +RG1:genxd_predisk_available[203] RC=0
Local fix
Problem summary
in hacmp.out, the error is not captured when the XIV storage role change is failed.
Problem conclusion
process_mirror is corrected to return the proper values based on pass/fail of its command execution
