Prerequisites for IBM® Datacap Version 9.1.3 Interim Fix 006
The official statements for hardware and software support for IBM® Datacap are provided as part of the hardware and software requirements for IBM® Datacap Version 9.1.3. Before you install this fix, ensure that you installed IBM® Datacap Version 9.1.3. For more information about installing IBM® Datacap, see Installing IBM Datacap. Installing IBM® Datacap Interim Fix 006
To install the IBM® Datacap Interim Fix 006, use the following procedure: Procedure
- Download the 913 iFix 006 package from Fix Central.
- Extract the 913 iFix 006 package, and run the Update.exe file.
Feature enhancements
As part of this interim fix, the following new enhancements have been added:
As part of this interim fix, the following new enhancements are added to Datacap Navigator:

Added a My List feature that you can use to filter only the current user's activities.
Use this feature to display a list related to the logged in user only. The My List tab displays the result when the user does not have Job monitor privilege or clicks the My List tab from the Quick Launch pane.
The content of the My List tab comes from a filter, and you can configure it as follows:
- Default: Batches in the hold status, and can be executed in Datacap Navigator by the logged in user. This is the behavior as before of the Task List.
- Assigned to logged in user: Batches that the Stored User(pb_UserID) equals current the logged in user. To apply this, you must configure the Store option in the task. For example, if a user wants to list all those batches scanned by that user, then the admin can change the Store option to "User" or "Station and User" for that scan task.
You can configure the filter option specified above in the Layout tab of IBM Content Navigator Desktop definition.
- You can set a Batch Hierarchy panel in a collapsed state at a defined level (For example, to a Document level). You can also expand any selected branch. Expand level means that the status updated by the Expand All button, and not the status changed by clicking on the "+/-" on the tree nodes.
- If there are "Document" type nodes under a batch tree:
- Clicking Expand All expands all nodes to a "Page" level.
- Clicking Expand All again, the nodes are collapsed to "Document" level.
- When you open a new "Verify/Fixup" job:
- If previous expend level is "page", the batch tree will be expanded to "page" level initially.
- If previous expend level is "document", the batch tree will be expanded to "document" level initially.
- If there are no "Document" type nodes under a batch tree:
- Clicking Expand All expands all nodes to "Page" level.
- Clicking Expand All again, the nodes are collapsed to a "Batch" level.
- When you open a new "Verify/Fixup" job:
- If previous expend level is "page", the batch tree is expanded to a "page" level initially.
- If previous expend level is "document", the batch tree is expanded to a "page" level initially.
This means, if there are not any "Document" type nodes, the batch tree is expanded initially.
- If there are "Document" type nodes under a batch tree:

You can turn off the thumbnail generation for a specific panel in the user settings. Using this feature, you can select each relevant page from the Batch Hierarchy, and view a detailed image in the viewer. At the same time, maintaining the maximum screen real estate for both the viewer itself and any data entry panels that you need to work with.
This feature increases the throughput of batches and improve productivity by removing the need for scan users to load every page into the Viewer to check correctness as they can perform simple eyeball checks for document structure and unnecessary separator sheets from the thumbnail filmstrip. You find any irregularities; you can perform detailed check by opening the page in the Viewer.
This also improves productivity for Verifiers, who need to work on full pages, rather than thumbnail images. Data entry and verification from images required the use of full-page images, and data entry panels can also be quite large In this case, it is not desirable to have thumbnails displayed as they serve little useful purpose, but do take up a substantial amount of screen space. This in turn requires users to have to scroll around images in the Viewer to locate data. By maximizing the amount of available space in the viewer to the full-page image rather than a thumbnail filmstrip, this reduces the time spent scrolling around looking for data to a minimum.
Thus, it can be seen that there are significant business benefits and resource cost savings to customers by providing the capability of controlling the display of thumbnails on a per-screen basis.
