APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Memory leak in amqrmppa process observed after upgrade to MQ
    9.1.3.0.
    
    amqrmppa process memory usage increases continuously, as long as
    there is normal connect/disconnect activity from the connected
    clients.  The issue is not seen when SHARECNV=1 is set on the
    channel definition.
    

Local fix

  • Set SHARECNV=1 on SVRCONN channels.

    A memory leak accompanies client connect/disconnect activity.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ code has been fixed to avoid the memory leak.
