Error description

  • When multiple MQ queue managers are registered with the ICP
metering service it is possible to view graphs that display the
number of Virtual Processor Cores (VPCs) in use by each queue
manager, or the number of VPCs used by the entire group. When
viewing the graph for the entire group, the number of cores
displayed is incorrect. Graphs for individual queue managers
display the correct data. Reports generated and downloaded from
the ICP metering service are unaffected and show the correct
number of VPCs for the group. The title of the column for the
total number of cores has been correct to say 'total core
    hours'.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of queue managers registered with the ICP Metering Service

    Platforms affected:

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The MQ Reporting Service component did not correctly present VPC
information such that it could be collated across a group of
    queue managers.

Additionally, the information published by the MQ monitoring
service omitted to provide the necessary label metadata for the
"Virtual Processor Cores" field. This resulted in the values
being labelled as "total undefined hours" in reports downloaded
    from ICP.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ Reporting Service component within the MQ queue manager
has been updated to correctly report and label VPC information.
