Who we are

Our studio began in the 1980s as the IBM Development Laboratory's Industrial Design and Human Factors team. By 2008, our organization had transformed to highlight our advanced expertise in experience design. Then, in 2015, we celebrated the grand opening of IBM Studios Tokyo and the expansion of our talented team. We brought in experts from TV media, digital technologies and marketing to broaden the ever-growing landscape of our capabilities.

IBM Studios Tokyo embodies the IBM iX™ passion for customer-centric design. Our studio represents years of experience in helping our clients succeed. The love for craftsmanship is part of our heritage and in our DNA. We are IBM Design Thinkers who love solving problems, creating great experiences and having fun doing it.
