IBM Spectrum Archive with LTFS technology support

IBM TS1160 leverages IBM Spectrum Archive™ for direct, intuitive and graphical access to data stored in IBM tape drives and libraries by incorporating the IBM Linear Tape File System™ (LTFS) format standard. LTFS compatibility allows tape-stored data to be accessed as if it were on disk or flash storage.

FC-16 Gb, Ethernet 10Gb & 25Gb, and SAS 12Gb interfaces

Three different drive versions to help optimize drive utilization and reduce infrastructure requirements. TS1160 can be shared on a storage area network though the existing Fibre Channel 16 Gb interface, the new Ethernet version designed for hyperscale and RHEL environments with support for Ethernet 10Gb host and NAS attachment, and now the SAS 12 Gb interface supported only in distributed environments.
