Feature spotlights

Policy definitions

Content Collector for File Systems enables IT staff to implement granular archiving policies to collect and archive specific pieces of information. Policies can be defined based on properties such as creation date, author, file size and date last accessed. Retention instructions can be dynamically executed to remove content at the end of its lifecycle and to reduce risk and reclaim storage.

Capture network file share content

Content Collector for Files Systems can be configured to capture file properties and file system properties and pass that information to the archive to replicate settings in the file system, including access control lists (ACLs) and file ownership information.

Content integration

Optimize content integration by importing documents and metadata from originating systems into your IBM FileNet® Case Manager or IBM Content Manager applications.

Search and retrieval

File system documents can be processed depending on metadata and stored in a specific repository folder structure to facilitate search and retrieval. Users can apply standard Windows search tools when searching by metadata to access archived documents.
