We’re building the future

of quantum together

IBM Quantum leads the world in quantum computing. This nascent technology is widely expected to solve valuable problems that today’s most powerful classical supercomputers cannot solve and never will.

Our community of clients and partners comprises of 180+ Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions, national labs, and startups.

With the largest fleet of 20+ of the most powerful quantum systems in the world, we are aiming to turn the world’s most challenging problems into valuable opportunities.

Strategic partners

Quantum computing all over the world

We are committed to fostering a truly global quantum economy. Our iconic IBM Quantum System One is already in strategic partner locations in Germany and Japan, with more on the way in the United States, South Korea, and Quebec, Canada. With our strategic partners, we aim to build national quantum ecosystems, develop workforces, and accelerate R&D on a national and global scale.

Strategic partnerships:

  • Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Germany
  • University of Tokyo, Japan
  • Cleveland Clinic, United States (in progress)
  • Yonsei University, Korea (in progress)
  • Quebec, Canada (in progress)

Qiskit Runtime

It’s never been easier to build and scale quantum programs

We built Qiskit Runtime for the era of useful quantum computing, allowing you to easily create powerful algorithms and run them at scale. Qiskit Runtime delivers a tremendous performance increase for non-trivial workloads, delivering in some cases a 120X speedup over previous methods.

The new more powerful Qiskit Runtime includes primitives – powerful core functions that drive performance and make programming easier.

Access plans

Premium Plan

Access our most powerful and exploratory systems with shorter wait times and hands on service. Create and execute quantum programs at scale with Qiskit Runtime. Gain hands-on support and training — as well as curated access to the best minds in quantum computing via membership to the IBM Quantum Network.

Current Premium Plan systems:

  • 27-qubit Falcon
  • 27-qubit Falcon (exploratory)
  • 127-qubit Eagle (exploratory)

Pay-As-You-Go Plan

Access our more advanced systems on an as-needed basis, and pay only for the quantum compute time you use.

  • Access our 27-qubit Falcon R5 processors
  • Pay $1.60 per runtime second with a credit card or IBM Cloud credits
  • Build circuits in IBM Quantum Composer, IBM Quantum Lab, and Qiskit
  • Build, define, and run large workloads using Qiskit Runtime

Open Plan

Run your first quantum circuits for free on simulators and real quantum systems. Take advantage of the same feature-rich tools included in our Premium Plan.

  • Use free cloud simulators (Statevector, MPS, Stabilizer)
  • Access real 7-qubit and 5-qubit QPUs
  • Build circuits in IBM Quantum Composer, IBM Quantum Lab, and Qiskit
  • Execute workloads more efficiently in Qiskit Runtime
