Qiskit C API powers new HPC workflow demo

The Qiskit SDK's latest release brings quantum to HPC like never before. With the Qiskit C API's new transpile function, you can now build in nearly any compiled language, as shown by open-source projects like Qiskit C++. Try our new demo to explore an HPC-ready SQD workflow and join us on the journey to quantum-centric supercomputing.

Qiskit SDK v2.2: faster, HPC-ready

Qiskit SDK v2.2 is here! The latest release brings exciting new features and substantial performance improvements. These include some major additions to Qiskit's C API, an expanded compilation target to enable more granular descriptions of parameter constraints, significant speedups in circuit transpilation, and more.

Our most advanced Heron QPU yet

Our IBM Quantum Heron r3 beta QPU, ibm_pittsburgh, is now available on IBM Quantum Platform.

The r3 QPU showcases the benefits of our rapid learning cycles with the best Heron coherence and fidelity metrics to date. It also holds the IBM record for largest quantum volume, though we expect further QV improvements from our forthcoming Nighthawk processor.

Fractional gates. Full power.

A new tutorial on IBM Quantum Platform takes you on a deep dive into fractional gates, a capability that can reduce circuit depths and increase efficiency in utility-scale workloads. In one 40-qubit quantum kernel experiment, they enabled a 68% reduction in circuit depth.
