Pricing APM: Monitors both Applications and Infrastructure

IBM Instana is the next generation of APM that delivers all teams the data they want with the context they need. Purpose-built for cloud-native yet technology-agnostic, the platform automatically and continuously provides high-fidelity data— 1-second granularity and end-to-end traces—with the context of logical and physical dependencies across mobile, web, applications, and infrastructure.

Infrastructure Quality Monitoring: Monitors Infrastructure

Instana ensures that the infrastructure is monitored and represented as it is. With IQM you can monitor your infrastructure and get resource metric monitoring of the technologies running on that infrastructure. IQM includes container monitoring, resource metric monitoring and infrastructure mapping.

What is a host?
A host, or Managed Virtual Server (MVS) is a unit of measure by which Instana can be licensed. It can comprise physical machines, virtual servers or worker nodes. Physical machines can be physical computers, blades, rack-mounted devices or anything else comprised of processing units, memory and input/output capabilities that execute applications or portions of applications. A virtual server is either a virtual computer created by partitioning the resources of a physical server or an unpartitioned physical server. Licensee must obtain an MVS license for each virtual server managed.
