What is the Digital Twin Exchange?

The Digital Twin Exchange is a platform where OEMs can provide digital twin resources for their assets to their asset customers to easily browse, purchase, and download to use in their organization.

Why would someone pay for a digital twin?

Currently, an end user has to find or request digital twin content from vendors separately and may then spend over 20 hours manually entering data into enterprise asset management solutions. Users need an ecosystem to easily search and access resources related to their assets.

Why would a manufacturer or OEM want to list their content on the Digital Twin Exchange?

By listing their resources, these manufacturers and OEM's gain exposure to the Maximo install base as every Maximo client will have visibility into the marketplace. If an owner/operator is making a buying decision, the Exchange becomes a one stop shop to compare against multiple manufacturers.

What types of content can I upload to the Digital Twin Exchange?

There is a large variance in the types of content that owners and operators might find valuable when operating their businesses. Examples include, bill of materials, parts lists, user manuals, engineering manuals, fault codes, 2D/3D CAD files, AR/VR models, maintenance manuals and maintenance plans.

What industries can contribute to the Digital Twin Exchange?

Digital twin resources related to mining, maritime, civil infrastructure, energy and utilities, oil and gas, transportation, and industrial/manufacturing industries.

How much does it cost for a manufacturer to provide digital twins on the Digital Twin Exchange?

Manufacturers who wish to provide digital twins on the Digital Twin Exchange will need to purchase a membership subscription to the Exchange for USD 99/year. What is Digital Twin Exchange Store Credit?

Digital Twin Exchange Store Credit is is a value available to customers to use on the Digital Twin Exchange to purchase digital twins. Digital twin customers must purchase store credit to purchase digital twins from the Digital Twin Exchange. Where can I use Digital Twin Store Credit?

Digital Twin Store Credit can only be used to purchase digital twins from the Digital Twin Exchange.

Where can I submit a problem I am experiencing when using the Digital Twin Exchange?

Please contact for support issues where IBM is the responsible party. Do not contact the IBM support channel or submit a support ticket through any platform other than the IBM Digital Twin Exchange (the Exchange). More product support details can be found here.

Where can I get support for a digital twin purchased from the Digital Twin Exchange?

Please contact the 3rd party provider of the digital twin to get support for the digital twin. Manufacturer contact information is available on the 3rd party's store page or in the 3rd party's end user terms for the digital twin.

In the event IBM receives a support inquiry related to Provider’s Digital Twin, IBM will contact the Provider of the Digital Twin, in pursuit of a resolution to the Customer’s inquiry.
