Overview of the Ready for IBM Power Systems on Cloud initiative

The objective of this initiative is to build a skilled ecosystem to deliver cloud solutions on Power Systems with the security, reliability and flexibility that today's mission-critical workloads need. 

Business Partners will be validated by IBM, based on their expertise on Power Systems and proven success in helping enterprises with their business transformation and cloud strategy.

Qualification criteria

The Ready for IBM Power Systems on Cloud initiative is open to all Worldwide IBM Business Partners

 

  • Business Partners interested in this initiative need to meet a specific criteria and follow the steps on the right column to validate the proposed solution.
  • Important:  The IBM Power Systems infrastructure owned by the Business Partner must be purchased from IBM's standard route to market channel and cannot be refurbished or used machines.

Requirements to participate in the Ready for IBM Power Systems on Cloud initiative

 

  1. Be an active and compliant member of IBM PartnerWorld
  2. Own an IBM Power Systems infrastructure to support a cloud environment that meets the following requirements:
  • Offer the availability of a redundant data center
  • 24 x 7 x 365 service level support
  • Proven success with a minimum of 3 clients on IBM Power Systems infrastructure

Steps to achieve Ready for IBM Power Systems on Cloud validation

Step 1: Join Partnerworld

   

The first step is to become an IBM Business Partner and join PartnerWorld. It’s free, and PartnerWorld offers many benefits to help you develop and sell your solutions. If you are already a member, go to step 2.

Step 2: Create an entry in the IBM Global Solution Directory (GSD)

 

In the IBM Global Solutions Directory (GSD), select “manage solutions” and start a new solution which allows you to create the GSD entry related to your Power Systems on Cloud solution.

Step 3: Nominate your solution

 

Once your GSD solution is approved, select nominate your solution under “manage solutions”. Select Ready for IBM Power Systems on Cloud and complete the Nomination form. After submitting your nomination, you will receive an email indicating that your application is under review. An IBM expert will review your nomination and contact you for further information if required.

Step 4: Go to market

 

Once your solution validation is approved, you will be contacted to accept the license supplement and download the mark. The license supplement outlines the legal terms and conditions for use of the Ready for IBM Power Systems on Cloud mark in your marketing and sales materials.

Best of all, you will be able to use the mark on your web site and collateral    

  • This licensed mark can help you identify and promote your IBM Power Systems on Cloud technology solution as a qualified offering that has met specifications established by IBM.
  • The "Ready for" mark must be positioned near the information detailing the solution. When used on product packaging, place the mark on the package so that clients can easily distinguish it from other logos or marks.
