  • Your company must purchase the Value Package before taking any credentials tests or optional preparatory courses. The Value Package must be valid when the tests and courses are taken. The Value Package is not valid until both payment and a signed Value Package Attachment have been accepted by IBM. Note: A separate Value Package must be obtained for each country where a participant wishes to receive Value Package benefits, and participant’s registered Country of Residence must be the same as the country where the Value Package was purchased.
  • Business Partners are entitled to either a 10% (Registered level), 20% (Silver or Gold level) or up to a 30% (*Platinum level) discount off the published base price for all courses purchased from any of the Global Training Providers (Arrow, Global Knowledge, Ingram Micro, LearnQuest, Tech Data or their associated Education Providers). You must request and confirm this discount during enrollment and ensure that the discount has been noted on your course invoice before you pay the invoice. You Pass, We Pay will subtract the discount from your reimbursement if it was not already applied to your invoice. If you have not received your Business Partner discount, call the Global Training Provider to request a refund. The Global Training Provider training discount does not apply to Pearson VUE test fees. *The discount depends on the delivery method (classroom, conference, etc.) and may vary by Global Training Provider. For more information about training discounts available to IBM Business Partners, please contact your Global Training Provider.
  • To be eligible for reimbursement, credentials must be achieved.
  • Preparatory courses listed are optional and are not required for credentials test reimbursement.
  • Only those credentials tests and optional preparatory courses listed on the Reimbursable credentials, tests and courses by brand lists are eligible for reimbursement. New credentials and technical mastery tests are added when they become available worldwide. Other changes, including removal of obsolete credentials, are posted quarterly. Be sure to check the live web list often.
  • Only publicly available classes, training and tests are reimbursable. Private classes, training and tests are not reimbursable.
  • Reimbursement maximums depend on your Country Enterprise's program level within PartnerWorld, as listed in the PartnerWorld Profiling System. Maximums include all claims submitted by all employees at all Locations within the Country Enterprise that purchased the 12-month Value Package. See Value Package Benefits page.
  • Credentials must be achieved within 60 days of completing the last reimbursable course on your chosen credentials path. Courses completed after achieving credentials are not eligible for reimbursement.Note: To be reimbursed for a self-study (online or offline) course, you must complete the course and achieve credentials within 120 days from the date of course purchase. If you intend to take more than one self-study course, you must complete them all and achieve credentials within 120 days of the first course purchase.
  • Where multiple tests are required for one credential, all must be passed and credential achieved within a 60-day period.
  • The reimbursement claim form below and supporting documents (invoices, receipts, score sheets) must be received by IBM within 60 days of achieving credentials in order for the claim to be processed. Save copies of all documents submitted, including copy of sent email. If you do not receive a reply from IBM within 10 days of claim submission, please contact the claim center that you submitted your claim to.
  • Once you submit your claim information, IBM may request additional or back-up information in order to process your reimbursement. If the requested information is not received within the time noted on the request, the claim may be rejected.
  • Business Partners located in Japan and AP will be required to submit a reimbursement request invoice in hard copy paper format after we have validated your claim. If this applies to you, IBM will contact you with additional instructions after we begin processing your claim.
  • Unless otherwise specified, reimbursements are for the actual cost of eligible credentials tests and optional courses (retail price minus any Business Partner discounts that may apply) up to a maximum equivalent of the test price posted on the Professional credentials Test web page, and the public course fee published on the IBM Training or Global Training Provider web sites.
  • Only one fee per passed course/test will be reimbursed. No shows, incomplete courses, late cancellation fees, VAT, taxes, local fees, test/training center fees, travel, hotel, living expenses and failed courses/exams are not reimbursable. Optional preparatory courses completed after credentials date are not reimbursable.
  • Global Training Providers who train their own employees may only be reimbursed for the cost of course materials purchased from IBM.
  • Fees must be paid in full for reimbursement.
  • Upon earning credentials, the expenses as outlined for the certified employee, and only the certified employee, will be eligible for reimbursement. The certified employee name must be printed on all invoices.
  • The certified employee claiming reimbursement must be listed in their company's PartnerWorld profile, and their candidate ID (supplied by the testing center at the time of the test) must be added to the employee details.
  • Reimbursement will be paid to the bank account of the Country Location of the PartnerWorld Business Partner Company where the certified employee is registered, is non-transferable, and must be accepted as described. Where the course registration fee is paid by personal credit card, IBM will reimburse the bank account of the Business Partner Company. IBM will not reimburse Business Partner employees directly.
  • Allow 60 days for reimbursement.
  • This offering cannot be combined with any other special offer, program or promotion from IBM, and IBM reserves the right to change or withdraw this offer at any time.

Steps to reimbursement

Step 1

Purchase Value Package

Your company must purchase the Value Package before taking any credentials tests or optional preparatory courses. The Value Package must be valid when the tests and courses are taken. The Value Package is not valid until both payment and a signed Value Package Attachment have been accepted by IBM. Note: A separate Value Package must be obtained for each country where a participant wishes to receive Value Package benefits, and participant’s registered Country of Residence must be the same as the country where the Value Package was purchased.

Step 2

Review claim guidelines

Review the Claim guidelines above to ensure that you are familiar with all of the rules of this offering. The Reimbursement claim form below indicates all the documentation you need to complete and submit your claim. Claim form and supporting documentation must be received by IBM within 60 days of achieving credential. Late submissions cannot be accepted.

Step 3

Choose your credentials

Consult the Reimbursable credentials and courses by brand tables to see which credentials (tests and optional preparatory courses) qualify for reimbursement and determine what credentials you will pursue. Note: All preparatory roadmap courses listed are optional, but are reimbursable with proof of credentials. If you have experience, you may want to take the credentials test and be reimbursed for the test without taking any courses.

  • Plan your courses, study time and test dates carefully. Credentials must be achieved within 60 days of completing your last course.
  • If you have questions, e-mail the You Pass, We Pay claim center at the address for your geography noted on the Reimbursement claim form below before enrolling.

Step 4

Enroll in optional course(s)

Enroll in the optional preparatory roadmap course(s) that you feel you need to prepare for the credentials test using the IBM Training Finder or the direct links from the Reimbursable credentials and courses by brand tables .

Step 5

Attend optional course(s)

Note: Eligible courses completed after credentials are earned are not reimbursable. Failed, unattended and incomplete courses are not reimbursable.

Step 6

Schedule credentials test(s)

When you have completed the optional courses and are prepared to take the credentials test(s), schedule credentials testing with Pearson VUE. Note: You must achieve credentials within 60 days of completing the last optional prep course on your chosen credentials path. To be reimbursed for a self-study (online Self-Paced Virtual Class or offline self-study) course, you must complete the course and achieve credentials within 120 days from the date of course purchase. If you intend to take more than one self-study course, you must complete them all and achieve credentials within 120 days of the first course purchase.

Step 7

Achieve credentials

Pass the test(s) and achieve credentials. Where multiple tests are required for one credential, all must be passed and credentials achieved within a 60-day period.

Step 8

Confirm student PartnerWorld registration

Verify that you are listed as an employee in your company's PartnerWorld profile, and that your candidate ID (supplied by the testing center at the time of the test) has been added to your employee details.

Step 9

Submit your claim to IBM

Complete and submit the Reimbursement claim form below. This form indicates all the documentation you need to complete and submit your claim. We are unable to process claims with incomplete information.  

Note: All reimbursement documentation must be received by IBM within 60 days of achieving credentials. Late and/or incomplete submissions cannot be accepted.

Step 10

Get paid

Once you submit your claim information, your claim will remain in progress for up to 30 days. During that time IBM may request additional information. If the requested information has not been submitted within the time allowed, the claim may be rejected. Note: Reimbursement will be paid to the Business Partner company bank account within 60 days of receiving complete claim information. You Pass, We Pay does not reimburse employees directly.

Claim form

The reimbursement claim form and supporting documents (invoices, receipts, score sheets, etc.) must be received by IBM within 60 days of achieving credentials in order for the claim to be processed. Late submissions cannot be accepted.

If you have any questions or problems with your claim information, contact IBM at the e-mail noted below for your geography immediately so that your problem can be resolved before reaching the 60-day submission deadline.

Step 2

Complete the form

Fill out the form. Please type or print clearly. Submit a separate reimbursement claim form for each credential achieved.

Step 3

Submit the form

Scan the completed claim form and required supporting documentation into a PDF file and e-mail to the IBM claim center for the geography where your Country Enterprise is located.

Step 4

Save copies

Save a copy of your e-mail and all submitted documents for your records. IBM will contact you after validating your claim.

Helpful Tips

Complete a separate reimbursement claim form per individual, per credential achieved

Before completing and submitting the reimbursement claim form, ensure that you have the following information:

  • Confirm that your company's Country Enterprise has purchased the Value Package prior to taking class and/or test.  Note that the Value Package is not valid until both payment and a signed value package attachment have been accepted by IBM.
  • Copy of the paid course invoice from IBM training or Global Training Provider for each optional course that you attended
  • Copy of the Pearson VUE test results sheet
  • Copy of the Pearson VUE invoice/receipt
  • Business Partners located in Japan and AP will be required to submit a reimbursement request invoice in hardcopy paper format after we have validated your claim. If this applies to you, IBM will contact you with additional instructions after we begin processing your claim.
  • Ensure each claim form is complete
