It is delivered as a Docker image on Docker Hub. IBM Operational Decision Manager for Developers is combined with an Eclipse plugin for Rule Designer, which is the development environment. It is also available on IBM Cloud Private.

IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) Server can be installed either on-premises or on eligible public clouds. It is also optimized for deployment with IBM Cloud Private and is supported in certain containerized environments. You may use ODM Server in any combination of these deployments.

Yes, IBM Operational Decision Manager(ODM) Server is an entitled offering in DBA for Multicloud (DBAMC). You can deploy different DBAMC offerings by purchasing the product through this license. You could change what you have deployed as your needs grow and also trade up from ODM Server to DBAMC.

Decision automation (rules based decisions) is available in any editions of the IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) portfolio (ODM, ODM on Cloud, ODM as part of Digital Business Automation, ODM as part of Digital Business Automation for Multicloud, etc...)

Situation detection (event based decisions) is only available as part of the IBM Operational Decision Manager Server on premise edition through the Decision Server Insight component.

Packaged in a monthly subscription, fully managed by IBM, Operational Decision Manager on Cloud provides everything you need to develop, test and put rules into production. It’s available exclusively on IBM Cloud infrastructure, and is compatible with ODM Server components and on premises product.

IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) Server Express excludes the real-time situation detection capability and limits deployment capacity. Clients can start projects with ODM Server Express and upgrade to the full-featured ODM server when needed, using trade up parts.
