How long does the trial last? Can I extend it?
The free trial lasts for 30 days and begins immediately after you register. You are allowed to have a free trial only once per year.
What features are included in the trial?
The free trial includes all features and functionality of IBM® SPSS® Statistics Subscription. This includes the Base Edition plus all add-on capabilities.
When does the trial begin?
The free trial begins immediately after you register. Download and install the software as soon as you register to be sure you have enough time to complete your evaluation.
What operating systems does the trial support?
The free trial supports 64-bit Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh operating systems. It isn’t hosted in the cloud. After registering, you’ll need to download the trial application and install it on your machine.
Does the trial require internet access?
Yes, the free trial always requires internet connectivity. The application will prompt you to enter your IBMid in order to access it. Your IBMid is the email and password you created when you signed up for the trial software.

After my free trial has ended, do I need to re-install the software if I purchase a Subscription Plan?
No, you do not need to download again or re-install the software. The software you downloaded for the trial will automatically become your subscription application. Use your IBMid to activate the software after making your Subscription purchase.

A Subscription plan has simpler packaging, flexible billing options, automatic software updates and user account management features. You have the option to purchase IBM SPSS Statistics Subscription with a credit card on the IBM Marketplace.
How are Term/Perpetual licenses different from a Subscription plan?
What are the software requirements for a Subscription plan?
Subscription licenses are compatible with Apple macOS version 10.10 or higher and Microsoft Windows 10 (or later).
How can I check the status of my Subscription?
To check the status of your Subscription, log in to your My IBM account.
How do I buy a Subscription for a single month?
Subscription plans renew automatically each month. You can stop this by logging in to your My IBM account. Find the SPSS Statistics Subscription tile and click “Manage.” Next, click the “Cancel plan” link in the Overview section.

How do I get support for SPSS Statistics? (all versions)
On the IBM SPSS Statistics Support page, you will find support information related to downloading software, opening support tickets, obtaining software authorization codes, and much more.
Do I need an authorization code or license key for my Subscription application?
The Subscription application does not require authorization codes. Use your IBMid to activate the software.
The application that comes with the traditional Term or Perpetual software licenses does require an authorization code.
Where do I get an authorization code for my Term or Perpetual software license?
If you need help obtaining an authorization code, visit the Support page.
Do I have to be online to use my Subscription application?
The SPSS Statistics paid Subscription plan can be used offline, but it requires a user to authenticate their license at least once every two weeks. After 14 days of offline access, the application will stop functioning until an internet connection is established and you log in with your IBMid. A working internet connection is required for this step. We recommend that you download the free trial subscription to ensure compatibility prior to making purchase.
Will my data be stored in the cloud?
When you purchase SPSS Statistics Subscription, the only information in the cloud is information required to manage your subscription account. All functions and data processed within the application are run on your machine and not in the cloud.
