IBM WebSphere Data Interchange facilitates the creation, deployment, execution and management of data transformation and related standards-based processing between standards-based EDI and internal application data formats. It also supports other requirements for EDI trading partner integration such as standards-based data and syntax validation, trading partner profiles, enveloping and EDI functional acknowledgement management.
The solution supports data mapping and transformation between standards-based EDI and internal application data formats. Standards supported include, but are not limited to, ANSI X12, UN/EDIFACT and UCS. IBM WebSphere Data Interchange supports the subsets of the published ANSI X12 and UN/EDIFACT standards as interpreted by industries such as retail, transportation, electronics, financial services, automotive, petroleum, health care, insurance and manufacturing.
The solution can operate as a stand-alone EDI system or it can be integrated with other enterprise applications, either through its WebSphere MQ-based interface, or through its own APIs, including a Java API that allows IBM WebSphere Data Interchange to be invoked as a Web Service in SOA or Business Process Management implementations. It may be integrated with WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, WebSphere Message Broker or WebSphere Process Server.
You may use IBM WebSphere Data Interchange in conjunction with WebSphere Partner Gateway, a B2B gateway, which supports a broad range of transport connectivity methods such as, but not limited to, EDIINT AS1, AS2 and AS3, ebXML ebMS 2.0, RosettaNet RNIF 1.1 and 2.0, cXML, CIDX Chem eStandards 4.0, and SOAP with attachments. It also supports connectivity with EDI value added networks through FTP scripting.
