Tan Wijaya was named President Director of IBM Indonesia in August 2019.
He is responsible for the business growth and leadership of IBM in Indonesia, building on strong collaboration with clients, partners, the government and communities, to advance digital transformation and inclusive progress, using AI, Cloud, Blockchain and other emerging technology as ONE IBM.
Tan has been with IBM since 2007 and over the past 12 years, he has taken on a number of country and regional responsibilities including as Country Manager IBM Systems.
Tan graduated cum laude three times over, with a degree in nuclear physics from the University of Indonesia; a degree in computer science with a minor in AI from Bina Nusantara University; and a Master of Business Administration from Prasetya Mulya Business School.
