New Seller Journey
In 2016, a team of sellers in the IBM New Sellers Journey onboarding program volunteered with Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston for their cohort project—which involves the new employees selecting a worthy cause they want to support and applying their expertise in areas of need.
The team received a 2016 IBM volunteer excellence award for their contributions.
Working in two phases, the team of Dan Arzonico, John Boyer, Jason Jackson, Keith Krystek, Lindsey Nyenhuis, Randall Swift, and Sanjeev Vohra made recommendations in logistics and social media designed to improve efficiency, patient outreach and brand awareness.
As a result of the IBM volunteers’ involvement, an IBM grant was awarded to Shriners to help them implement a local and national social media strategy and program.
Read more about the team’s motivation and approach in our story from December 2016.
