Horace W. (Bud) Thue joined IBM in 1957, and served
as corporate director of manufacturing planning, general
manager of the company's Endicott, N.Y., plant, and
vice president of manufacturing of the IBM General Products
Division, among other managerial positions in the early
years of his IBM career.
In March 1965, Thue was named vice president, plans
and controls, of the IBM Systems Manufacturing Division.
A year later, he was appointed as general manager of
IBM's manufacturing and development facility in Rochester,
Minn., a post he held until 1969.
Thue held a B.S. degree in industrial engineering from
the University of North Dakota.
