IBM is a member of the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC), a nonprofit, nonadvocacy group of corporations, conservation organizations, government agencies, and community members dedicated to protecting wildlife habitat.
Four IBM sites currently hold the Wildlife Habitat Council's Conservation Certification, recognizing their wildlife habitat management and conservation education programs, including:
- Armonk, New York (IBM's Corporate Headquarters)
- Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
- San Jose, California (IBM's Almaden Research Center)
- San Jose, California (IBM's Silicon Valley Laboratory)
