Our Approach to Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Citizenship
IBM is a company of more than 430,000 employees, doing business in more than 175 countries. We have a supply chain of more than 18,000 suppliers. And we have been in business for more than 100 years, a length of time that speaks to the sustainability of our business practices. In Belgium and Luxembourg, just like anywhere else where we operate, our definition of sustainability includes not only environmental responsibility, but also social responsibility to our workforce, clients, business partners, and the communities in which we operate, as well as a culture of ethics and integrity guided by a rigorous system of corporate governance.
Our corporate citizenship policy is based on strong involvement of our employees, implementation of structured programs to address the pressing issues of civil society and the provision of business and technology skills to support foundations, non-profit organizations and educational institutions.
