I fell in love with computers at fifteen, while teaching at a local computer training institute for pocket money. That early fascination with computers and what they could do never left me. In the course of my career, I have built tech-centric businesses, e-commerce and mobile trading applications and capital market solutions. I’ve advised on outsourcing strategies, outsourcing effectiveness and led IIFL into the (then) largest and most successful cloud deployment in India. I've managed large IT setups with hundreds of offices, thousands of different kinds of devices and billions of real time transactions. My current fascination is productivity and agility. I believe technology services in large companies are very sub-optimal and ripe for a 10X increase in productivity. This requires tools and training, but most importantly new ways of working and new expectations.
