Tia Silas

Vice President, Global Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, IBM

Tia Silas is Vice President, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer for IBM where she is responsible for driving the worldwide diversity and inclusion strategy. Prior to this role, Tia led Human Resources for the Watson Health division of the company supporting Watson’s mission to advance the quality of healthcare on a global scale, improve lives and enable hope through cutting edge technology.

Tia graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in industrial and labor relations and earned her MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business.

In addition to her professional and academic endeavors Tia has also worked to serve her community through board activities. Previously, she has served on the Connecticut Board of Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Mill River Collaborative Board, aimed at restoring green space for low income communities in Stamford and the Alumni Board of Miss Porter’s School focused on young women “shaping a changing world.”
