Beth Smith

General Manager, Watson Data and AI, IBM

As the GM of Watson, Beth Smith is responsible for the the overall success of
IBM Watson’s data and AI strategy and execution. She leads the engineering and
delivery of the Watson technology, the tooling that allow for a seamless data
experience, and the global ecosystem of Watson partners and developers. Fueled
by scientific innovations born out of IBM’s research and engineering teams,
Watson is IBM’s flagship AI system that runs natively on the cloud.
More broadly across IBM, Beth contributes to technical and business strategy as a
member of several senior leadership teams responsible for shaping key strategic
initiatives across the corporation.

Wesam Lootah is the CEO at the Smart Dubai Government Establishment.
A committed and talented Emirati, Wesam has more than 18 years of experience in strategic leadership positions where he has leveraged Information Technology to create innovative channels and Smart Government infrastructure to improve the quality of public services for citizens, residents, visitors and businesses in Dubai.
Wesam has worked in both government and the private sector in high profile organizations. From 2009 to 2012, Wesam was Vice President, Information Technology at World Trade Centre where he led the transformation of IT through a number of initiatives including the implementation of sales force automation, CRM, and ERP implementation.
Prior to that, he was Director, Information Technology at Emaar Properties. During his time at Emaar, Wesam led the global rollout of sales automation and ERP across Emaar subsidiaries. This included countries such as Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Canada.
