Kareem Yusuf

General Manager, Watson IoT, IBM

Kareem Yusuf is the General Manager of Watson IoT, an IBM Business Unit focused on providing solutions that harness the power of IoT to provide insights, intelligence and innovation that help clients transform their business.

Kareem has been with IBM for 19 years and has held leadership positions in a variety of disciplines across IBM. These have included Offering Management, Software Development, SaaS Operations, Mergers & Acquisitions and Field Technical Sales. Kareem has a Ph.D from the University of Leeds, focused on Decision Support Systems for Civil Engineering construction. He maintains an active interest in all things technical, with a particular interest in digital media and programming languages. He is a TED Speaker and also the author of “Enterprise Messaging Using JMS and IBM WebSphere.

Parham Antonio Vasaiely

Senior Manager Autonomous Vehicle Development, Jaguar Land Rover

Parham Vasaiely is Senior Manager, Jaguar Land Rover, leading the Autonomous Vehicles and Driverless Car engineering. Prior to this role he was the strategy manager for high priority and fast-to-market features. Before joining JLR, Parham worked as software and systems engineer at Airbus Group in Germany and in the UK, as well as a big data and analytics consultant in Switzerland. In addition Parham also represents Jaguar Land Rover as chair of the workplace charter of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Mindfulness. This government led working group aims to give employees and leaders the right mental tools and the resilience to cope with the increasing amount of information and complexity in today’s workplace.

Stephen Surhigh

Vice President, Automotive Cloud Solutions, Harman International

Stephen L. Surhigh is Vice President and General Manager, Automotive Cloud Services for Harman International. He leads business development for Harman’s Automotive Cloud Services business unit that focuses on data exchange between vehicles and the cloud. He has over 30 years of operations, sales and management consulting experience and has led cloud-based implementations for a substantial number of Automotive Manufacturers and Suppliers.

Previously, Mr. Surhigh was the Vice President, Automotive Solutions for Compuware Corporation. In this role, Mr. Surhigh was the global lead responsible for sales and delivery of Compuware products and services to auto manufacturers and Tier One suppliers.

Guido Jouret

Chief Digital Officer, ABB

Guido Jouret is the Chief Digital Officer of ABB where he leads the development and deployment of digital solutions worldwide. Guido is a U.S. and Belgium citizen with long experience in Silicon Valley. Previously, he was General Manager of the IoT business at Cisco, which aims to connect billions of devices to the internet. Before that, he was CTO and General Manager of Cisco’s Emerging Tech-nologies Group, responsible for incubating new businesses. Guido’s team created nine internal start-ups, including Cisco’s TelePresence and IoT groups. Guido also led the software business at Envision Energy, a renewable energy company, where his team developed a platform for the emerging Energy Internet. And he was CTO at Nokia, responsible for the virtual reality and digital health businesses and the acquisition of Withings, a leading digital health company. Guido has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a PhD in Computer Science from Imperial College, London.
