Code Café

Code, Coffee, Cake. Join us for Code labs designed for quick hands-on coding, Ask IBM Anything to get all your technical questions answered on the latest open and IBM technologies.

Deploy CoreML model using Watson Visual Recognition

From straightforward machine learning models to complex neural networks, you can build and train your models using IBM Watson Studio. With Core ML, you can then build iOS apps that use those trained models on your device.

Text summarization and visualization using IBM Watson Studio

Automatic text summarization is part of natural language processing by which computers can understand, derive meaning and analyze human language. In this code lab, you will learn a methodology to summarize and visualize text using IBM Watson Studio. After completing this lab, developer will understand how to summarize the text from documents and news feeds, create topic modeling on the text to extract important topics, create visualizations for better understanding of the data, interpret the summary and visualization of the data and analyze the text for further processing to generate recommendations or taking informed decisions.

Try Out the IBM Blockchain Platform

The IBM Blockchain Platform is the industry's first fully integrated, enterprise-ready Blockchain platform to develop, govern, and operate Blockchain networks. In this lab, you'll get to see it for yourself, and try the upcoming programming model enhancements that make smart contract development simpler.

Try out Hyperledger Fabric with Java/Node SDK

The SDK helps facilitate Java applications to manage the lifecycle of Hyperledger channels and user chaincode. The SDK also provides a means to execute user chaincode, query blocks and transactions on the channel, and monitor events on the channel

Deploy Cloud Native Applications using K8s on IBM Cloud

IBM Cloud Container Service for Kubernetes makes it easy to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes on IBM Cloud. -Get ready to dive into IBM Cloud to learn how to deploy your apps on the IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service. We'll learn about the capabilities inherent to Kubernetes.

Classify images using Serverless functions

You will use a serverless image recognition web app to use serverless implementation. When the end users upload an image, triggers an action (a Cloud Function) based on changes in the database to classify images that are uploaded. You will learn IBM® Cloud Functions and its usage in application.

Implement asset securitization on a Blockchain ledger

Securitization is a financial process that can be used to consolidate a set of illiquid assets into a set of tradable securities. A common example of an illiquid asset would be a home mortgage, as one cannot be readily bought and sold. An example of a tradable asset is a stock or bond. This process can be useful for financial institutions that are looking to increase the liquidity of their assets and free up capital. This app leverages the IBM Blockchain Platform Starter Plan and provides a dashboard that allows users to create and view the relationship among assets, pools, investors, and securities

Time: 3.30 PM – 5.00 PM
Track: Blockchain
Speaker: Raghavendra Deshpande, Shikha Maheshwari
