Performance data
You can use OSA/SF to obtain performance information for an OSA.
From CHPID View on the OSA/SF GUI, highlight and double-click
the CHPID entry. You receive the Settings window. Click on Performance to
obtain the settings. For the REXX command, use Query:
- PCI bus utilization (by CHPID)
- The average, over the indicated time interval, of the percentage of time that the PCI bus was used to transfer data. This does not include idle time or time used by routine maintenance tasks.
- Processor utilization (by CHPID)
- The average, over the indicated time interval, of the percentage of time that the processor was used to transfer data. This does not include idle time or time used by routine maintenance tasks.
- KBs read (by image)
- The average number bytes read during the indicated time interval, expressed in KB/s.
- KBs written (by image)
- The average number bytes written during the indicated time interval, expressed in KB/s.
- Processor utilization (by image)
- The average percentage of microprocessor/ASIC resource usage during the indicated time interval.
As Figure 1 shows, this performance data is averaged over three time intervals. If you display this page before enough time has elapsed since the CHPID has been reset, no data is displayed in the columns for the longer time intervals.
