Security operations on models

By using metadata management, you can do security operations on models. You can also manage user access to the models and the related metadata.

When a new analytics model is created, initial security privileges are set automatically, that is, the owner has all privileges; other users have no privileges. To change the initial settings and to manage access to models and the related metadata by users, metadata management provides a security layer.

Users need privileges on analytics models to do operations on these models. Also, analytics models have an owner. Privileges can be granted or revoked similar to the existing database privileges.

The following list shows the security operations that you can do:

  • Grant or revoke privileges on analytics models to users, groups, and roles
  • List user privileges for models
