Changing to the virtual Fibre Channel adapter view

You can view the list of virtual resources per adapter that are configured for a Virtual I/O Server (VIOS).

To view the list of virtual resources per adapter by using the Hardware Management Console (HMC), complete the following steps:

1. Choose one of the following navigation options depending on the interface type of the Hardware Management Console (HMC):
   • If you are using an HMC Enhanced interface, complete the following steps:
     1. In the navigation pane, expand Systems Management > Servers.
     2. In the work pane, select the server on which you want to view the list of virtual resources per adapter.
     3. Select Manage PowerVM by using one of the following options to open the PowerVM Configuration page:
        • Click the menu next to the server name and select Manage PowerVM.
        • In the work pane, click Manage PowerVM.
   • If you are using an HMC Enhanced+ interface, complete the following steps:
     1. In the navigation pane, click the Resources icon .
     2. Click All Systems. The All Systems page is displayed.
     3. In the work pane, select a system and click Actions > View System Properties. You can view and change the properties of the system that are listed under the PowerVM area.
2. In the PowerVM area, click Virtual Storage.
3. In the upper right corner of the work pane, click Adapter View.
4. Click the Virtual Fibre Channel Adapters tab. The table lists the virtual Fibre Channel adapters in the managed system.
5. To toggle back to the storage view, in the upper right corner of the work pane, click Storage View.
6. To exit, click Close.
