Checking for a duplicate IP address
You can check for a duplicate IP address by using the Hardware Management Console (HMC).
To check for a duplicate IP address by using the HMC, complete the following
steps:
- On the HMC, right-click the desktop and select .
- Issue this command: lssyscfg -r sys -F "name,ipaddr".
A list of managed system names and their IP addresses (or host names) is displayed.
- Check for duplicate IP addresses.
